Nizar Allibhoy has more than 20 years of leadership experience building technology companies across multiple industries. Offering a rare blend of business and technical strengths, Nizar has achieved exciting company and product turnarounds and is recognized for his success in growing sales and profits in both corporate and start-up environments including fundraising, product development and operations/go-to-market.
Prior to joining NRD Capital, Nizar founded KEYPR, the guest experience SaaS platform for the hospitality industry. The solution provides guests with a modern experience featuring keyless entry, in-room tablets and a mobile app, while delivering huge gains in operational efficiency for hotel operators. As founder and CEO, Nizar grew the company from idea to revenue, through multiple rounds of financing and complex product development cycles. Previously, Nizar founded Telepop, the first connected TV ad network supporting the Samsung, Sony, Vizio and DIRECTV platforms as well as establishing the content division for ActiveVideo, a technology platform which enables web content on legacy cable/telco networks. Most recently, Nizar has been an advisor to a number of companies in media/entertainment, green energy and AgTech, working with founders, management and board members to meet product and financing objectives.
Nizar's exceptional track record of business improvement is based on a philosophy of total enterprise engagement in change. He is known for his ability to quickly identify and diagnose operational and growth impediments, working with companies to refine their organizational structure, product lines, sourcing, sales channels and market position. Nizar excels at building companies that successfully navigate the entrepreneurial journey from idea, through product, to a profitable business.
Nizar lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children, and still enjoys learning new technologies and writing code, as time permits.
Nizar received his BA in Computer Science from the California State University Northridge. He has thirteen US patents granted and pending.
